Our Activities

  • The Environmental Majlis

    A regional platform for discussing regional environmental phenomena

    Majlis is an Arabic and Persian term meaning "council", used to describe various types of special gatherings among common interest groups of administrative, social, or religious nature.

    The Environmental Majlis is our regional environmental Council that aims to raise awareness towards the most pressing issue of today. Through various gatherings and programs, we aim to raise environmental awareness in the region while supporting regional partnerships aimed at confronting and mitigating the climate crisis.

  • The Forbidden Fruit

    The Forbidden fruit is a name given to the fruit growing in the Garden of Eden which mankind is commanded not to eat. It is forbidden to touch the fruit because those who eat it become more knowledgeable of good and evil and their belief in the garden may be questioned.

    In The Forbidden Fruit Community, we aim to involve art for expanding the outreach of the tree of knowledge. Through its fruits, we aim at asking new questions and finding new ideas in shaping our common future.

  • New Voice

    Changing the Common Narrative through the use of Social Media 

    Over the last years, it became clear that social media has a vital role in shaping our public discourse. However, this sphere of influence has been shaped by actors who promote false information leading to division and hatred. This initiative aims at harnessing social media for promoting our values of cross-communal solidarity. Through raising awareness towards neglected truths, it aims at expanding the public discourse and highling new information.

  • The Healing Project

    Forming recreational retreats aimed at healing collective traumas

    When aiming at forming a more healthy and sustainable future, there is a need to change our patterns and heal our personal and collective traumas. Through this involvement, we aim at forming therapeutic gatherings aimed at engaging with these traumas and through which finding the right and confident passage towards healing.

  • The Young Professional Forum

    Forming a regional forum to promote transboundary partnerships

    The YPF is a group of young professionals from across the Middle East / BiladBalad al-Sham committed to a new vision for the region. This a network of young activists, intellectuals, researchers, development practitioners, artists, and policymakers from across the region geared towards promoting local projects and cross-communal programs that confront the social, economic, environmental, and political challenges of today and aimed at bringing equal opportunities, better living conditions, and a more open and sustainable region.
